This may get Messy! Perhaps do it outside. First thing to do is cover the entire chalkboard surface with chalk; rubbing the side of the chalk and in all directions… left to right, top to bottom and criss cross.
Now that everything is all chalked up, grab a soft microfiber cloth then rub the chalk into the surface in circular motion. After this is done, wipe clean with the cloth until the chalk is all off .
Now that the surface is primed you are free to unleash your carrotivity!
To cut down on dust when erasing, use a slightly damp microfiber cloth, and be sure the board is dry before drawing again.
We recommend using Crayola Dustless Chalk.
The safest color of chalk to use is WHITE. With the colored chalk on our chalkboards, there runs a risk of “ghosting” when you rub the chalk off. This is due to the chalk pigment getting caught in the pours of the chalk paint. The more colorful the pigment, the more “ghosting” will occur.
Chalk Ink Markers should only be used on our steel chalkboards. DO NOT use on regular, non-magnetic chalkboards, for they will not erase.
The best way to clean-up the chalk board is to use a micro-fiber cloth; this is much better then the chalk erasers of old.
A great tip to help with the dust is to slightly dampen the cloth. This not only will clean the chalkboard better, but also prevent dust from floating around, providing you a more dust-free environment.
NOTE: Be sure that the chalkboard is dry before you chalk it up again.
Chalk-Ink Markers; just wiping off with water usually works, but if there is still “ghosting”, try using Windex or try a”magic eraser”. Remember to only use chalk ink markers on our Steel Chalkboards.

We ship online orders to all addresses found in Canada and the United States. All packages are shipped by Canada Post.

Due to the custom nature of our products, variable packaging methods may be required for shipping. Once your package has left Charlie Rabbit, it is shipped by Canada Post. Canada Post delivery times vary according to the shipment destination. For deliveries using standard shipping, packages usually arrive within 2 and 7 business days for all addresses in Canada and between 6 and 12 business days for all addresses in the United States. For deliveries using express shipping, packages usually arrive within 1 and 2 business days for Canada ans 3 to 5 business days for the United States. All deliveries to international destinations are made by plane with a delay of 2 to 7 business days.
Currently we do not regularly ship to any country other than Canada and the USA.
However if you live outside those countries, contact us and we will be happy to help find a method for you to receive our product.
Spend $50 or more and we will deliver it to you free of charge. If you live within the Edmonton (AB, Canada) and surrounding area (Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Devon or Leduc) we will ship your purchase directly to you. Please email us to inquire if direct shipping is included in your area.
Your order can be picked up at 43 Spruce Village Drive East, Spruce Grove, Alberta. Let us know if this is how you wish to receive your order and we will contact you when it is ready for pick-up.
If for some reason you are not satisfied with the item you buy, please contact us and we will provide you a refund or store credit equal to the cost of the item. Please note that the credit will only be accepted after the original piece has been returned to our office; You are responsible for all additional shipping costs. The item must be returned within 7 days after you have received your purchase and must also be in its’ original condition. Exchanges that are returned in damaged condition will not be honored. If an item is damaged when it arrives to its destination, we will provide store credit equal to the value of the item once you provide a picture proving that the item was damaged during shipping. Sorry, we don’t provide refund for the shipping cost. If an item doesn’t arrive to its destination we can only offer a refund if you opt for a registered shipping option. Please note that before a refund is offered, we will need confirmation from the post office stating that the item was lost (the post office will conduct an investigation, typically 45 days after the item is shipped).
